1. Create the aura
To create an aura is delightful. You can add a candle of your favourite scent or an insence diffuser to add an instance ambience. A pretty bowl of pot pourri also works wonders. If you’re not up to the task of gathering fresh-cut flowers, faux florals or greenery work just as well for year-round colour.

2. An aesthetic Treasure
Put your favourite things on display. Style the table with Unique and pleasant accessories, such as a beautiful bowl or dish, a found piece of coral, a wooden souvenir, or a special trinket. Treasures like a shell from the beach where you went on holiday or a decorative sculpture that was a wedding gift holds the potential to make a space your own.

3. Something to read
Books say a lot about your personality and interests. So, take your favourite books (also ones that match the decor) off the shelf and place them neatly on your table. It can also add a touch of colour to the setting. Add a stack of books (three is typically the magic number) on top or on a secondary shelf of your table.

4. Add photos, add character
Give your visitors a homely feeling. Showcase your favourite moment. Whether it’s for a wedding, graduation or your dog’s birthday, there’s a perfect photo frame to put on display. Create your own personal vignette on a side table by including a memorable photographs of yourself or of things or people close to your heart. But keep it minimal and Arrange one or two frames of various sizes to create depth and contrast on your side table, and make sure your chosen frame complements your side table.

5. Light up your table
Now that you know what all you want to place on your table, you must make it visible. A side table is usually used to showcase a table lamp so you can easily bring your side table into the spotlight to enhance and scheme the style of the table. Side tables are a great place for displaying other elements in your design. Introduce much-needed accent lighting while displaying a gorgeous lamp of a thematic print, a quirky bright colour, aesthetic design or a unique shape to your décor. Balance is key: bronze lamps will contrast beautifully against a black wooden table, and a narrow metal table lamp will never overwhelm a glass side table. Play around with different pairings of lamps and side tables until you find the perfect combination.
